The main objectives of ORV SK-360 cruise are- i. Retrieval of 17 passive broadband ocean bottom seismometers (OBSs) in the IOGL region which have been deployed for almost 15 months during SK-348 cruise to help in understanding the density-velocity structure of upper to mid- mantle. ii. Redeployment of 17 OBS units in the IOGL region for 1 year (± 2 months) depending upon the satisfactory data recovery from the 1 st phase. iii. Acquisition of other geophysical data along the cruise track. But due to time constraint and priority for OBS operation, other geophysical data could not be acquired along the track completely.
